Egyptian Star Flower Scarf

Recently I'm in love with all the flower patterns. So here is a new lace scarf with a beautiful flower motif. It's a simply stitch as is the egypcian star flower.

Materials

Ligth worsted weight yarn or DK weigth. I used Stylecraft Special DK on Lipstick.
5 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Notes:
  1. This stitch is multiple of 10 + 1.
  2. This pattern is written on US terms.
  3. ch 6 counts as first tr and ch 2 space.
  4. ch 4 counts as first sc and ch 3 space.
  5. The scarf measures 45" around and 4.5" width.
Abreviations:
ch: chain
sk: skip
sc: single crochet
tr: treble crochet
sl st: slip stich

Steps:

ch 31

Row 1: ch 6, 1 tr in the seventh chain, ch 3, sk 4, sc in the next ch, ch 3, sk 4, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the next ch, ch 3, sk 4, sc in the next ch, ch 3, sk 4, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the next ch, ch 3, sk 4, work tr, ch 2, tr all in the last ch. Turn.

Row 2: ch 4, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the sc from previous row, ch 3, sc into ch 5 space, ch 3, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the sc from previous row, ch 3, sc into ch 5 space, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the sc from previous row, ch 3, sc into third ch from ch 6 from previous row. Turn

Row 3: ch 6, 1 tr in the same stitch, ch 3, sc into ch 5 space, ch 3, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the next sc from previous row, ch 3, sc in the next ch 5 space, ch 3, work tr, ch 5, tr all in the next sc from previous row, ch 3, work tr, ch 2, tr all in the last ch from ch 4 from previous row. Turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until get your desired length. I did 97 rows.

You have two options to finish the scarf and sew the sides. The first one is repeat the row 2 and then sew with the yarn needle both sides. The second option is work the row 2 making slip stitches into the starting chain instead of the chain like this:

Last Row:  sl st 4 into starting ch, work tr into the sc from previous row, sl sp 5 into starting ch, tr in the same sc from previous row, sl st 3 into starting ch, sl st into ch 5 space, sl st 3 into starting ch, work tr into the sc from previous row, sl sp 5 into starting ch, tr in the same sc from previous row, sl st 3 into starting ch, sl st into ch 5 space, sl st 3 into starting ch, work tr into the sc from previous row, sl sp 5 into starting ch, tr in the same sc from previous row, sl st 4 into starting ch, sl st into third ch from ch 6 from previous row.

Fasten off and weave the ends.
